  I can't believe how terrible this place is and how it still open and functioning. Everyone I know who has been to this place has shared a terrible experience The front desk is very rude and not helpful. I have been sick 2 weeks and finally went and had an exam at fry's grocery store, the little clinic inside. The little clinic NP referred me to a banner or ER to get medication that he cannot provide me because they are a little NP small clinic and he did not have the authority to do so. I made the mistake of going to this urgent care instead of banner and the lady up front behind the desk treated me like I was some drug addict trying to get a fix. Even though I had paper work of my medical exam and everything. I was willing to even see their Dr. and do another exam. But, she made me feel terrible and just was very negative about the situation. She might as well have asked me to leave. I felt as if I was being attacked and disrespected. The front desk lady had no interest in trying to help a sick citizen in search for medical attention. This is my second time at this urgent care location and both experiences were fairly similar. This urgent care is right next to me... However, I will never return to the stat clinic on Gilbert and Brown.

  $250 for an urgent care visit?!? No thanks! My wife just walked out of here. We have chosen to cash pay for medical care and nearly all providers offer substantial discounts from their stated prices for cash. They don't have to waste time and money playing the game of billing insurance then sending a follow up bill for some "allowed" amount to the patient. The insurance company only pays a fraction of the price anyway so even with a cash discount they come out ahead. Not this facility. They want the full stated price paid in advance or you can go somewhere else. My wife did. We called a few other facilities, cash prices from $75 to $99. No one else even close to the $250. Fastmed at University and Brown was close and had no wait. $99. This facility is a model for what's wrong with our health care financial system. They put you between an outrageous stated price for care - which they will never receive from insurance - or paying an outrageous amount for health insurance. Updated: My wife just left Fastmed - signed in, saw a Doc and got a prescription in the time I have been writing this. $99.
