  Please do yourself a favor and go to another Cardiovascular specialist office. I'm still receiving bills from CAI for services rendered over a year ago even though the billing department on many occasions has told me that my account is current. It just seems that they continually make errors or find additional things to charge. I understand that it takes time for insurance to pay out and claims have to be sent multiple times, but over 12 months is ridiculous. If the billing department is so dysfunctional and slow, that must mean the physicians act similar. The body follows the head and vice versa. My wife works in the medical field and understands billing and what can be billed and how much depending on the appointment type. It's very obvious CAI is making efforts to bill as much as possible, even for routine checkups. For instance, all of my checkups were billed on the same level as if it were a first checkup because they falsely reported that they counseled on and changed prescription(s). It's businesses like CAI that give the health care industry a bad name! I understand they are trying to cover all their bases, but in doing so they bill ridiculous amounts that the insurance company has to regulate and say "no". In all cases (for echo for example) they charged x only for the insurance to regulate them and say that they should only be charging 1/2x at most. I can safely say that they literally don't care about patients. It's all about overcharging. I will never go back to CAI! UPDATE: received another bill TODAY (august 2, 2010). My last appointment with them was 11 months ago! WOW!
